''Having awoken from their spring break extravaganza at Lake Victoria, the swarm heads upstream where they look to make a meal out of Big Wet, a local water park where when it comes to fun, nobody does it wetter!'' - IMBDPiranha 3DD looks like a movie that cannot be taken seriously. From watching the trailer, and from seeing the range of designs for the advertisement posters that I have seen in my town and on the Internet, this film is definitely targeted to a male audience. The amount of cleavage shown in the trailer and on the posters just hints how the film is more of a 'spoof' of the older 'nature horror films' such as 'Jaws'. The poster design is even a rip-off of the classic 'Jaws' poster which has been copied over and over again, 'the classic 'Jaws' shark swimming towards the swimmer in the sea'. Just with this poster, its the swarm of killer piranhas that are swimming around the very digitally corrected looking female swimmer. I don't know what others think of this film, personally I think it will be great fun to watch. I'm not too sure when the film is being released, 'IMBD' say the '11th of May' when other websites say '1st of June', either way I will definitely be seeing this film.
